New Yarn Alert…
We are loving our new yarns from Jody Long and think you will too! Above you’ll see two new favorites, Cottontails and Coastline.
Cottontails is a 100% cotton, spun in Italy with a gauge of 4 stitches per inch on US 8 (5mm) and is available in a rainbow of solid shades. Jody found this yarn from an Italian mill who was calling it “vegan cashmere” - because it is super soft like cashmere, but 100% vegan cotton.
Coastline is a luxurious cotton and linen blend spun in Italy. The distressed colors, a result of the ways the fibers take the dyes at different rates, add extra depth to the finished fabric. The marled effect evokes a sun dappled day at the beach!
Remix Chunky (above and below) - Your favorite recycled yarn gets a new weight! Remix Chunky is perfect for all your larger gauge projects. This machine washable yarn is an all-season replacement for wool.
Below you’ll see a lovely new to the shop sport weight sock yarn from Noro. Silk Garden Sock Solo is a blend of wook, silk, nylon and mohair that will make a luxurious pair of socks and be equally lovely in a shawl or summer top.
Sock Club Continues through Summer…
We thought we drop this pair of socks make with Calzasocks by Adriafil to remind you that our Sock Club will be continuing through the summer. If you have a passion for knitting socks, join us on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 5:00 and enjoy a knitting session with other sock lovers. We share ideas and techniques related to sock knitting.

Join us on Fridays in May* from 10:00 am to noon while we workshop the Las Olas del Pacifico crocheted poncho that Henny designed for the West Michigan Yarn Quest. A perfect opportunity to get tips and input from Henny while creating a beautiful top inspired by the waves of the Pacific Ocean in Costa Rica! (*Note: We will not be meeting on the last Friday of May due to Memorial Day weekend.)
