Comfort Knitting in DK

Hello sweet friends. How are you doing? We hope and pray you are doing well. With another two weeks at home, we thought maybe some “comfort” knitting would be a good idea. If you’re up for a little irreverent humor, we highly recommend tuning into YouTube to watch the Grocery Girls Podcast. In their recent Episode 95, Jodi is wearing a sweater and a shawl that fit the cozy comfort knit niche. Both are made with DK and are simple easy knits so you can get a little lost in the soothing rhythm of the needles and won’t need to over think or concentrate too hard. Click HERE to watch the episode. Jody (on the left) brings out the shawl near the end of the video.

We’ve included links to the sweater and the shawl patterns below. And you’ll see lots of DK options we have available at the shop. We will no longer be offering curbside pick-up, but Henny will be in the shop on Friday from 10-2 to take calls for orders and you can make a request through the website contact page HERE. Keep scrolling to bottom because we are also sharing a FREE pattern for some super cozy socks to give your feet a little LOVE while we are staying safe at home :)

Need to perk up your quarantine uniform? Introducing THE AUTUMN LEAGUE PULLOVER (click on name to link to Ravelry) This is the knit version of your favorite sweatshirt! And it’s a FREE pattern! Crew neck, raglan sleeves and some nice details at the neck and side seams make this perfectly cute and cozy over a t-shirt with jeans or leggings. Try it with one of our cotton or linen blends and let this piece transition you into spring. We’ve shared some cheery bright colors in the yarns below.

Missing hugs and need some love around your neck while you practice social distancing? This simple MAIM SHAWL will do the trick. And we like the way it looks a little unraveled around the edges. Maybe we can relate a little? It’s also knit with DK, so all the yarns we show below will work!
