What's happening in October...
Happy October! Fall is finally here… That means sweater weather and pumpkin spice everything! To celebrate the season we are offering a Crochet Pumpkin Workshop. Prior to the workshop, you will need to know how to do a single crochet. This will be a great way to practice reading a pattern. The cost is $10 which covers your materials and pattern. The workshop will be offered two Saturdays: October 12 and October 26 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Space is limited, so call the shop to sign up and reserve your spot! 616-891-2406
October Shawl KALs
In September we introduced the Graphic Dyeworks Crystallographic Collection from a local dyer Kate Howland. This yarn is so gorgeous we sold over half of it the very first day! In October, we are going to be working on two different shawls, each using two skeins of this fingering weight yarn in contrasting colors. Choose your favorite, Cosmic Girl or Thunder Cloud Kisses, and join us for a KAL on Thursdays in October from 10:30 to noon.
Sock-tober!
Wednesdays in October will be all about socks! We will offering tips and techniques for knitting 2-at-a-time socks, the “Fish Lips Kiss” heel, and a beautiful cabled sock pattern called “Posh.” Sock-tober will take place from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays before our regular knit night.
