August News
After many requests from our customers, we are hosting our very first YARN SWAP! What’s a yarn swap? Glad you asked :) Here’s how it works…
Bring in any unwanted yarn you have in your stash on Sept 3, 4 or 5. Yarn must be in clear ziplock bags or plastic containers, labeled with your name, and yarn details (weight, yardage, fiber content) and the price you hope to get for it. We will provide you with little forms to fill out when you bring in your yarn.
Pay $10 registration fee when you drop off your yarn.
Yarn Swap dates will be Friday September 6th - 10 am to 5 pm and Saturday September 7th - 10 am to 1 pm (during regular shop hours.) All the yarn brought in by customers will be available for sale during the Yarn Swap.
Any of your yarn that sells will earn you credit to spend on new yarn at Henny’s Yarn Shop. If $20 of your yarn sells, you will get $20 of credit to spend in the shop.
Unsold yarn needs to be picked up by Friday Sept. 13. Any yarn left after that date will be donated to local knitting groups.
So go dig through your stash and find what you don’t need anymore… Can’t wait to see you at the Yarn Swap!
August Knit-A-Longs
Our August KALs are just about to begin! Karen will be leading the Wallaby KAL on Saturday mornings in August from 10:30 to noon, starting Aug 3. Linda will be leading the Ninilchik Swoncho KAL on Tuesdays in August from 10:00 - 11:30 am. It’s been fun helping everyone choose their yarn colors for these sweaters. Still room for more to sign up!
Henny’s going to Cowpie!
Henny will be a vendor again this year at the Cowpie Music Festival in Caledonia on August 8, 9 and 10. It’s a great time to relax, enjoy some music and shop the artison vendor area. Henny will have knit and crochet samples for sale as well as other handmade items that support mission work in Africa. Be sure to stop by and visit if you’re attending the festival!
