October is here! Finally… it’s starting to feel like fall :)

October KAL

The first KAL project this month is the OAKEN SHAWL by Tin Can Knits. You can find the pattern HERE. Oaken is a combo of garter stitch and rhythmic lace. Knit on size US 9 needles, the result is a squishy blanket of a wrap to keep the chill off in the coming months.

Henny knit our sample using Ella Rae Rustic Aran. We have many gorgeous colors in the shop to choose from. You’ll save 15% on yarn and pattern with our monthly KAL discount. Come early to get first dibs on your favorite color!

The second shawl in this month’s KAL is the the ENOLA YARDS SCARF. Enola Yards is a sleek, asymmetrical triangular scarf worked on the bias. The plush garter stitch is edged and bound off with I-cord, and the color blocking (shown here in three colors) lets you play with as many or as few colors as you like. Henny knit our sample with three shades of Ultra Alpaca Natural by Berroco. Alpaca makes a light and oh so soft wrap that feels so nice against your skin.
