It’s HAPPY BIRTHDAY month at Henny’s Yarn Shop! We turn 12 in October and decided to celebrate with YOU by having a 12% off sale Tuesday through Thursday, October 4-6. That’s right, 12% off everything :)
Our October KAL will be the STASH DIVE RAGLAN by Summer Lee. This is a fun one! It is knit seamlessly from the bottom up. Sleeves are knit separately and then joined to the body at the underarm with a raglan yoke. The sweater is knit with a strand of worsted weight yarn and a strand of sock yarn held together.
There are two different options for the neck - both crew and turtleneck. Additionally, there are options for a wider neck or a more fitted neck. The pattern includes tutorials for working with scrap yarn to achieve a marled, blended effect. The tutorials also detail two different methods for dealing with the scrap ends as you go so you won’t have to weave in a million ends when you’re done knitting!
Sandy used cotton as the worsted in hers and chose the crew neck option. Henny used a wool blend for her worsted and chose the wider turtleneck option. So many ways to get creative with this one… What will YOURS look like?
As with all of our Knit-Alongs, you’ll save 15% on supplies for this project. Don’t have enough scrap sock yarn? No worries! Henny will have a basket of sock scraps for sale when you come by the shop. And we have some sock weight tiny little skeins in a rainbow of colors. Self-striping sock yarns also create a lot of color play too. So many options!
