August KAL and other news…
It’s time to announce the next KAL! Join us in August as we knit the RAMONA CARDIGAN by Elizabeth Smith. Our samples have been made with Peace Fleece Worsted. (click HERE for pattern)
Peace Fleece Worsted is a rustic aran weight yarn that knits up quickly and softens with each washing. We love the way it looks paired with this pattern. It’s also very affordable at $12.60 per skein. When you apply the 15% KAL discount, you can make this classic sweater for just over $50! We have several great colorways to choose from and they all have happy little flecks of color spun in.
August 17th is the day that passports for the 2021 West Michigan Yarn Quest go on sale! Passports will be $10 and are your ticket to prizes, free patterns, discounts on yarn, and fun with your fellow questers! If you purchased a passport for the cancelled 2020 Yarn Quest, you will be able to trade that in for the 2021 passport. Details for the 2021 Yarn Quest can be found on the WMYQ Facebook page by clicking HERE. 2021 Yarn Quest Dates are October 15-23, 2021.
A fun addition to this year’s West Michigan Yarn Quest is the Special ReQuest Mystery KAL/CAL - your choice of a Mystery Knitalong or Crochetalong! It will require 100g of fingering weight yarn. We recommend a solid, tonal or speckled skein to show off the fun textures in the pattern. This will be a fun way to countdown to the first day of passport sales and to connect with other questers in the fiber community!
